Mogilev City Hall is a revived symbol of a free and prosperous city. For centuries, it personified the independence of the citizens and was the material embodiment of their motto - "Breaking, but not bending . "

Throughout its history, the town hall burned many times, suffered destruction and, in the end, was demolished from the face of the earth. But still, thanks to the efforts of the citizens of Mogilev, she again stands majestically above Mogilev, heralding a new period in the heyday of the city. The decision to restore the Town Hall was made in the year of the 740th anniversary of Mogilev. President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenka, who laid a capsule with a message to descendants at the base of the building.

In the historical center of Mogilev in the building of the Town Hall there is a museum of the city’s history. The museum collection began in 1992, and this is the youngest museum in Mogilev . Today it has five rooms with an area of ​​260 square meters, in three of which a permanent exhibition is deployed, in the other two there are celebrations of the city mayor's office and various exhibitions. For museum visitors guided tours of the entire Town Hall building. You can admire the picturesque floodplain of the Dnieper from the observation deck, as well as inspect the mechanism of the mechanical clock installed under the roof of the tower itself.

The museum and its branch are open from 9.00 to 18.00.
